Here's a spreadsheet of your wishlist:
http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pzdeO6LG4nmBz4tKBzL5tTQ

I rounded the prices to whole dollars (if they were under x.50, I rounded them down, over x.50 rounded up). All of the prices are for new books. It's usually not worth trying to buy them used, unless the books are less than $3-5 each, because of shipping. Since all these books are new, it doesn't cost anything to have them shipped to me.

Shipping for you is whatever it actually costs (I'm sure I can reuse a box to ship to you). I'd guess the average weight of books is about 10oz (some are a little over 8oz, some a little over 11oz).

EDIT: I just found out Priority Mail International has a flat rate for boxes up to 20lbs! (Used to only be a flat rate for envelopes, and you can only fit 3-4 books in an envelope). I'll need to find out what size the box is (usually, there's a specific envelope/box you have to use to get the flat rate). The box (two sizes available): http://shop.usps.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10152&storeId=10001&categoryId=13359&productId=11697 or https://shop.usps.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10001&catalogId=10152&productId=11699

The flat-rate for a box is $37 (http://pe.usps.com/text/Imm/ps_027.htm#ep1633410), so even if it took 3 boxes to send everything, that would still be way cheaper than using the shipping calculator (http://ircalc.usps.gov/default.aspx?Mode=Intl_Single&CID=10378). Or, you can place separate orders instead of one gigantic order.

The only other thing I would recommend is insurance, which is $6 for $400 (knock off about $1 for each $100 of coverage). I haven't had any problems shipping items internationally, but it would absolutely suck if your shipment was the first to get lost or damaged. >_<

Have you seen this?
http://www.librarything.com/blog/2007/12/santathing-secret-santas-for.php

Shall we do it to each other? But, I'm not sure if they will ship to my country? But, for sure they would do to your address.

But it's only until Thursday...

Oooooh... hmmm... the only problem, I tend to buy anything on my wishlist. XD But, still, it could be fun, ne? I need to check it out? Can we pick who we want to gift to? Actually, if you wanted to give me your address anyway, I have a couple of items on your wishlist. We could do a "test run" to make sure packages get to you okay in case you ever want me to ship stuff to you. (They're secondhand/used books, but I got 'em cheap, which = free for you.)
11th-Dec-2007 07:05 am (UTC) - Honestly, I tried to get as simple as possible but I am prone to ranting
*gasps* <-- one of these days I would get choked to death for gasping so much at your comments *lol* (knock the wood >_< )

About this SantaThing, I thought it was something like what we did in here at schools (no idea if they still do nowadays): exchange/swapping x-mas gifts which prices are about the same *lol*. I was still half asleep, checked my f-page, found about it, thought about that, jumped into conclusion, tan her to tell you.

But I guess it won't do with wishlist? When giving books as gift I wanted it to be the right one. Just OK is not satisfied my selfishness in giving.

However, maybe you are right, this can be fun. However I don't have any idea to whom we should pick a victim XP. What do you think? And, what would we do? (gah, the chance is less than a week only!)

Now, err..., where should I start *sweats*. OK. When I saw your spreadsheet I felt sooooooooooo guilty. Because, I actually have the similar list. So, why didn't I just give that to you, damn! Then, one day before, I handed the similar list to a friend who was going to Singapore. At the end she got me 18 books, therefore I'm welcoming the incoming new year with poverty. Gyahhhhh

In the while, the whey-based list keeps getting shorter and shorter
http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pMS-oQoLWSHXlZs3LbYZQAg
Books bought: stroke
With green highlight: slow buying process
With blue highlight: ordering at a local Kino store (with some titles that aren't in the above list).

So, I've been thinking that I should just present you a list of books that I haven't got yet, with priorities. I have this habit of sweeping anything in front of my eyes, so, yeah, eh he he..., in short I would just buy anything I could. I need to extract my master list of English-licensed first, but it's not a problem. What I am not sure is whether I should include the 'unknown' books as well or not. Se, when listing the English-licensed, I go to follow the Japanese version of a series, like, there is the sixth volume of Bokura Okoku (I thing this is how it written); so I put it into my master list too then. Oh, confuse. Yes, I made things complicated myself *slumps*.

To follow the idea, I will paypal you a certain amount of $. The scenario in my mind is, to make you my banker *lol*. No, and yes. You buy some books, plonk as many as possible into a Priority Mail Intl. box (?). Deal with those that weren't fit in later on. How much would be the certain amount, am still not sure yet. But, given to the fact that I'm welcoming the new year in poverty, this would happen in January as the soonest.

My mind is still wandering at one place, that's why I haven't said anything yet (and took it for granted that you would always be there for me). I got confuse with everything that is swarming in my mind.

The confusion got deeper because after the first time we talk about this, all of the sudden I got so many chances to get English-licensed. What a heck...

I meant to click the 'more options' button to see the preview of this. But I clicked the 'post comment' *sweats*

Still need to say: I wanted to pay for the postage.

And, I'm living in a country named Indonesia, not Singapore
http://pe.usps.com/text/imm/il_003.htm

And again, I will go to check what I missed to mention at the earlier comment later today. Too many distraction at the moment...

Why do I always think everyone is from either Spain, Singapore or Italy? XD

I looked over the rules and it seems pretty standard. I still think we should do a test run (think of it as me being your Secret Santa) and try a flat rate envelope. I just have to find 3 or 4 books you haven't already bought now. XD

But, you are not the first who think that I was from Singapore X3

Aaaaaaaaaanywayyyyyyyyyy, 2-3 days ago I told myself that by weekend I'll re-up the latest of my not-have-yet list for you. Before, at every time I thought about the re-upping, came changes to be made--to be exact, to cross titles. Been almost a month has past since the last changes, and looks like things were calming down a little bit therefore I guess this is the 'right' time then.

Today I went out. Being a person who doesn't like to go out of the house, when I do, I tend to go to everywhere I need to visit/whatever in the said outing. That's why I dropped by at Kino main store too today, for they have had Allure for me for 2-3 weeks already. There was only one single book, but it's a lot better than nothing. But, I was wrong. Instead, THEY HAVE MORE THAN TWENTY YAOI MANGA SITTING UNDER MY NAME!!! @_@ Gah, no one called me up!!! Luckily they allowed me to get just as many as I could pay.

Again, there gone to the ditch my re-upping plan... Seems like any plans I made in (my life bwahahaha) were always jinxed. Maybe that is because I keep saying that my life flows like a river; that despite no guidance, with whatever hardship, it would reach the sea anyway. Gyahahahahaaaaaa~

LOTR. *lol* Somehow when I think about OTRFK, my brain would takes it as "LOTR".

On 31st December last year, I listed and posted the English manga I've got during the last of 2007's two months. I also mentioned that I am getting OTRFK as xmas gift too #^_^# heeee... But, I didn't mention any names for some reasons.

Nyaaaaaa, I better get going with the list's title-crossing now. Or, go on reading the new books >_< Argh, but I'm sleepy...

LOL!! I LOVE your rambling. It totally fits with how my mind works, so I have no problem following you at all.

And, yup, I'll be here, so don't rush to buy books until YOU want to. I pictured it the same way -- you give me a list of books, I buy them, tell you how much they cost, add the shipping, and then you Paypal. Yeah, I kind of act like a bank, but that's not a big deal to me. Worst thing that could happen is that I buy the book for you, you decide you don't want it... and then I have TWO copies of the book. Oh no, whatever will I do? XD

I saw your updated list (wooohoo, congrats on getting so many off your list! I love striking things off my lists). I don't have any duplicate copies of anything left (except for OTRFK), but you have an updated list with titles not on there? Share, share!

And seriously, this isn't a priority, so no rush. I try to think of this if I were in your situation. It'd be really helpful if I knew someone in another country that could hopefully pick up books a little cheaper for me and ship them all together to save money. You know, people helping people to spread the BL-love. (And because I can tell we're both collectors and it's driven me crazy a few times trying to get a hold of hard-to-find books just because I'm in a different country.)
